The R. Grant Graham Star Reporter
September 27th, 2024
From the Principal
Hello Graham Family,
I hope your day is going well. This week has gone well. Students are working hard, taking assessments, and doing class work. Please spend quality time with your students daily if possible. What I mean by quality time is time with your students and family minus interruptions: no television, cell phone music, etc., just you and them having conversations. Having dinner together without these distractions helps build strong adult-student relationships.
I appreciate your cooperation during arrival and dismissal. Traffic is flowing safely and smoothly. Please remember that we must adhere to the 25-mile-per-hour speed limit throughout the neighborhood. Remember that we have students who are walking to and from school.
Remember, if you need to see your student's teacher or any other staff member, call them and make an appointment. Teachers and staff are very busy throughout the day, and we don't want to distract them with unplanned visitsโalso, no walk-in student pickups after 3:00 pm. Preparing your student to leave is too hard when the teacher is trying to finish the day.
I appreciate your understanding.
Best Regards,
Jamie Brooks

Help build our Homecoming Float!
If you are able to help begin building our float, we will be meeting at Graham on Thursday, October 3rd beginning at 4pm. We would appreciate any help you can give!
A Note From Our Librarian ๐๐๐๐
We started a Reading for Education program to help our school raise money. An envelope explaining how the program works has been sent home with your student. Parents, please read over the information describing how you can participate. Your student will earn a participation prize when they return the filled-out envelope to school, and they can earn more great prizes when your family and friends help our school raise money. So don't forget to send the filled-out envelope back to school, and thanks for your support!
So far, this fundraiser has earned $714.78 for Graham! In addition, $1765 has been given to Graham teachers by students! This helps us purchase materials that directly support our students. Thank you so much for participating.
Popcorn & Juice is $.50 each
We do Popcorn and Juice every full day of school on Friday.
It is up to the teacher if they allow the Kids to eat the popcorn for snack or send it home.
If you would like to help with Popcorn on Fridays 830/1045
