May 23- Student's Last Day

To help our rising first grade students prepare for their transition to our school next year, New Albany Primary School would like to invite our current kindergarten students into the building to see some special areas of the school. The Primary School staff, including building principal Mrs. Smith, will host tours on Thursday, May 2.

In an effort to balance the groups, times will be offered based on the last name of the child. Your family may choose from the two time slots listed below:

Last Name A - L : 5:00 or 6:00

Last Name M - Z : 5:30 or 6:30

Please sign up for a tour using this link so we can plan appropriately. The intended audience for the tour is incoming first graders and their parents, and we expect tours to last around 25 minutes. The staff at the Primary School is excited to meet the new first graders!

Mrs. Martin's 3rd graders will perform "Movin' Up" on Tuesday, May 7th in the Primary Cafeteria. Students from Mrs. Brewster's, Mrs. Callahans's, Mrs. Crum's, and Miss. Rubenstein's classes will perform at 6:00. Students from Miss. Fife's, Mrs. Kirven's, Mrs. Mahan's and Mrs. Priest's classes will perform at 7:15 pm. These students should arrive 15 minutes before their performances.

Mrs. Cook's 3rd graders are excited to perform their "Movin' Up" program on Wednesday, May 8th in the Primary Cafeteria. Third graders in Miss Stanavich's, Ms. Hartman's, Miss Baus', Mrs. Stryjewski and Ms. Elmer's classes will perform at 6:00 pm. Third graders in Ms. Snider's, Mrs. Warvel's, Mrs. Finley's, and Mrs. Phelps' classes will perform at 7:15 pm. Students should arrive no sooner than 30 minutes before their performance time. We look forward to performing for you.

We’ve accumulated quite a collection in our Lost and Found! Please contact Dr. Peterson at peterson.2@napls.us if you are looking for a specific item.

Thank you to all of the NAPS families who came out for Family Service Day!

We made 30 blankets, 120 flower pots for the residents of New Albany Avalon and planted new landscaping in the front planters

We were also able to donate 310 lbs of personal care items and 284 lbs of snacks to the New Albany Food Pantry

BREAKING NEWS: Our New Albany PTO GOLF CART RAFFLE HAS BEEN EXTENDED! Thanks to a decision made across all PTO boards, we are extending the Golf Cart Raffle ticket sale until Sunday, May 12 at 11:59 PM. We will plan to draw the raffle winner on Monday, May 13 at noon. You can purchase tickets HERE!!

One of the final PTO activities of the year is Staff Appreciation Week! The theme this year is "Shower our Teachers and Staff with Gratitude". Communication regarding all activities will be via the head room parents and on our PTO social media
