Dear Dixon Elementary School Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Dixon Elementary School, home of the Bulldogs! I hope this letter finds you and your family well-rested, rejuvenated, and ready for another exciting year of learning and growth.
Our theme this year is "Growing Bulldog Leaders. #DES: Dream, Empower, Succeed." We believe that every student at Dixon Elementary has the potential to become a leader, and we are committed to providing an environment that nurtures their dreams, empowers their abilities, and helps them succeed both academically and personally.
Here at Dixon Elementary, we have an exceptional team of dedicated teachers and staff who are eager to welcome back our returning students and meet our new Bulldogs. Together, we will work hard to create a positive and inclusive school community where every child feels valued and supported.
As we embark on this new school year, we would like to share some important information to ensure a smooth start:
First Day of School
Our first day of school will be Monday, August 26, 2024. We can't wait to see all of our students' smiling faces back in the classrooms.
Parents will be allowed to walk their children to their classrooms for the week of August 26-August 30. Beginning on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, parents will not be able to walk their students to class.
School Hours
School doors open at 8:10 AM and the tardy bell rings at 8:30 AM. Our carline dismissal begins at 3:15 PM and busses/van riders are dismissed beginning at 3:30 PM. Please be patient the first few weeks of school as arrival and dismissal do take a bit of time here on campus. Please anticipate delays in bus routes in both the morning and afternoon as drivers are getting to know your kids and their stops. Thank you for your help with this.
Class Assignments and Supplies
Class assignments will be mailed to families on August 13th. Please check the DES website for the school supply list.
