Message from the Head of School
Dear Parents/Carers
I hope that everyone enjoyed the lovely, long weekend and celebrated the Coronation in some way. We are thrilled to have received our report from Ofsted and I really hope parents take the time to read this through. I have however taken a few highlights which particularly stood out to me:
'This is a caring and friendly school....pupils are happy and safe.....pupils love learning'
'Their behaviour is excellent...pupils love learning and value their lessons'
'Leaders have pinpointed the specific knowledge that pupils need to learn'
'The teaching of reading is excellent'
'Staff are overwhelmingly happy and proud to work here'
I am sure you will all agree that this is a fantastic report and we are very proud of the pupils and staff who have worked so hard to achieve this excellent outcome.
Exciting news! Over the summer holidays we will be having a large climbing apparatus installed on the front playground. I am sure this will be well used and enjoyed by all the children across the school. The school council has given feedback on the design process and this will be entirely funded by you! The FOHJS will be funding this which is an amazing achievement-than you so much.
I hope everyone has a restful weekend.
Mr Jon James

Year 6 News
In the run up to this week, year 6 worked incredibly hard with their revision. We wish them all the best of luck this week whilst they take their exams! Good luck Year 6!
Managing Separation Anxiety
Everyone experiences anxiety sometimes, and it is completely normal. In the current circumstances
it is understandable that you or your child might be worried about being apart when schools reopen.
We’ve put together some strategies to cope with separation anxiety, and support with the transition
back to school.
