If you check out RCEEA's School Quality Profile, there is one area that requires our immediate attention: ATTENDANCE!! Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing at least 18 instructional days (10%) and last year 1 in 3 RCEEA students were chronically absent. This year, we are incentivizing our students with attendance celebrations such as going to the movies, paint party, Latin Ballet of Virginia performance, and more. Student attendance is a team effort. Parents, please encourage and prepare your child to attend school every day. We need and want them HERE!

We know that students with volunteer/work experience in high school have a higher chance of becoming gainfully employed as adults. RCEEA provides these opportunities at businesses/organizations in the metro Richmond area. We are looking to increase our number of community partners due to our students' expanding interests. Did you know once a month staff and families meet online to discuss topics related to families and students? In September, we discussed what happens when as student turns 18 years of age and safety protocols. In October, we discussed relationships and sexuality. What would you like to discuss?
