FROM THE DESK OF MR. FRAY
GBHS Families-
As we spring into the final stretch of the school year, our high school is bustling with excitement and activity.
Prom, a cherished tradition for our students, is not just a celebration of fancy attire and dazzling dance moves; it’s a reflection of the maturity and respect our students exhibit as they come together to create unforgettable memories. I urge all attendees to make responsible choices, ensuring a safe and enjoyable event on May 11th.
Similarly, graduation on May 30th marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and growth. It’s a time to reflect on achievements and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. As our seniors embark on new journeys, let us encourage them to continue making thoughtful decisions that reflect their values and our collective standards.
At Grand Blanc High School, we are committed to fostering an environment where each student feels supported in their academic pursuits and personal development. By promoting responsible behavior and good decision-making, we empower our students to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and integrity.
As we cherish the remaining weeks of the school year, let us all strive to uphold the principles of respect, responsibility, and resilience that define our community.
Go Bobcats!

Attendance Contract Explanation
Parents - Please be aware that our attendance contract procedure changed for the 2023-2024 school year. The new process is as follows:
- When a student has accumulated more than 10 absences in a class, they will be notified by the classroom teacher and given an attendance contract.
- The student and teacher both sign the contract and it is returned to the office. The student is given a copy to take home with them.
- The attendance contract explains what the student must do in order to earn credit in that particular class.
- If your student then accumulates 10 or more absences in a different course hour, this will result in further - separate attendance contracts.
Follow THIS LINK to preview an attendance contract and review the full explanation of requirements in order to receive class credit.
Athletic Office Updates
Please note, new protocols for 2023-2024 home athletic events at GBHS.
REMINDER - PROCEDURE FOR CHECKING IN/OUT DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students and Parents - Please make sure you are following the proper procedures for students leaving the building during school hours:
- Parent/Guardian must call in first to check the student out.
- The student then checks in with the office to get an exit pass prior to leaving.
Students have been leaving the building during the day and parents are calling in at a later time to excuse the absence. If an emergency were to take place in the building, we must be able to account for every student currently believed to be present. For those safety reasons, we will NOT retroactively excuse the attendance of any student that leaves the building without following the proper procedure.
