Summer Update

Dear Aquin Families,

Just a quick note this week...

1. Please make sure to check your FACTS accounts and checked the billing for next school year. The payment plans were scheduled when you registered. If there are questions or if you need to change your payment plan, you will need to email me. I have to make those changes on my side of the software. If you feel there is a mistake, then I need to review it. If accounts are incorrect and/or the payment isn't able to be made, then the payment is returned, and you get added fees. We do not control those, so please be careful.

2. The teachers have done several trainings this summer, but one of the most impactful ones is the one we completed this week with Paul Louis from Thinking Maps. This is a critical thinking curriculum that we are adding at all grade levels. The process teaches the students the 8 different types of critical thinking needed for learning. More will be explained when school begins, but as far as I know, we are the only school in the area to be using it. We are very excited to roll this new program out to you!

We still have limited openings in each class. If you know someone that is interested in joining our bulldog family, please reach out and we will be sure to make them feel welcome!

Students that plan to participate in sports with OAA or Orangeville Junior High, will need a sports physical on file. This applies to students in grades 5, 7 & 8. Grade 6 students do not need a separate sports physical since they have a regular physical required.

Students may attend any of the FHN Sports Physical clinics to satisfy this requirement.
