Illinois Public Act 097-­1147 requires public schools to provide child sexual abuse prevention education for students in early childhood through twelth grades. Our school social workers will work with each grade level to provide age ­appropriate information. Additional information can be found on the District’s website including the optional opt-out form.

Winter is the time of year when we notice sporadic cases of lice in the school community. Please read this letter for more information.

Students will be focusing on demonstrating Safety this December at Westgate. This will be the focus for when giving out West Great tickets as the character trait of the month. Please review with your students how they can show safety at school.

• April 25th - Crazy Wear (Hats, Socks, Mismatch, etc.)
