Stonewall Alliance, North Valley Childcare Collective and Blackbird are teaming up to bring you this free, all-ages event for the whole family. Local drag star J-Lau will read several books for young people with messages about inclusion, diversity, unconditional love and self-expression.

This is a great way to introduce kids and other family members to having conversations around gender, identity and acceptance in a family-friendly setting.
Kids are encouraged to bring pillows or blankets to sit on and stuffed animals to cuddle. Hot beverages and delicious vegan snacks will be available for purchase.

Have you wanted to get involved as a volunteer at Stonewall? Our Volunteer Training is the place to start! We require all of our Stonewall Alliance Volunteer to attend at least one training, so that all of our volunteers can be well equipped for assisting the Chico Community.

Come to learn about cultural sensitivity in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as meet staff members, and learn more about the kinds of tasks available to volunteers here at the Stonewall Alliance Center.

We need your help!

The best way for the Stonewall Alliance Center to reach out to new people is through our tabling at other community events like Thursday Night Market, educational fairs, and resource workshops. BUT we don't always have enough volunteers to be able to table all of the events we are invited to.

If you are interested in being part of the volunteer team to tell folks about the amazing services we offer and meet new community members this is the volunteer role for you!

We are excited to announce our upcoming LGBT*Q+ art show GREAT HEART is now accepting performer and artist submissions.

The theme GREAT HEART reflects the strength, kindness, courage, generosity and wisdom of lgbt*q+ people- particularly within our local community, a year on from our area's most devastating natural disaster in recent memory - as well as the greater community in the current social, political and global climate.

All queer, Transgender, Trans*, Ace, Intersex, Nonbinary & 2-Spirit artists are invited to enter for a very low cost (volunteer exchange can also be made in lieu of payment) and all are encouraged to sell their work, and keep all proceeds.

The submission form deadline is November 5th, and the art drop-off due date is November 13th.

The Grand Reception will be held at MONCA (Museum of Northern California Art) Gallery, 900 Esplanade, on 11/15/2019. It will feature music, live art, refreshments and a no-host bar.

Due to lack of attendee turnout, we are sad to announce that we will be discontinuing the Ally-Zone support group. However, we will be using this opportunity to create space for a new support group that we hope is more beneficial to the community

Is your partner or friend thinking about or starting their transition? Do you need a safe space to explore those thoughts and feelings? Then please join us at the Stonewall Alliance Center for our new support group, The SOFA Support group, for significant others, friends, and allies of transgender individuals.

The SOFA group's first meeting will be Monday October 21st from 6 Pm to 7:30 Pm.

After our first meeting the SOFA group will meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 6 Pm to 7:30 Pm at the Stonewall Alliance Center
