All students, teachers, parents, adults, and chaperones will be required to go through screening upon entry to the building. We will go through metal detectors as we enter the building. All bags will be searched. Below are prohibited items inside the legislature:
Prohibited Items Through Screening Process
Aerosol containers
Electric stun guns, martial arts weapons or devices
Knives of any size
Mace and pepper spray
Guns, replica guns, ammunition, and fireworks
Any weapon facsimile
Razors and box cutters
Pets or animals (guide and assistance animals are permitted)

Any other item or device that can be considered a dangerous weapon
Science Museum
Here is the link to the map and Science Museum website.
When we arrive, students and chaperones wait outside on our front steps while the teacher enters the museum to check-in. The teacher will be handed chaperone stickers and our Group Etiquette handouts to distribute to your chaperones. Chaperones need to review the guidelines with their groups before entering.
This portion of the group will be a self guided tour and chaperone groups will break up. Students should stay with assigned chaperones at all times.
Capitol Building
Teachers will check in at the Capitol and a tour guide will come meet with the group before entering the building for the tour. Groups need to stay together during this tour and listen to the tour guide.

-Per school policy, students are not allowed to have electronic devices including cell phones, smart watches, tablets, handheld gaming systems, etc. We also ask chaperones attending to refrain from allowing their students to use their cell phones.
