Final Countdown to the Lincoln Fun Run Saturday, October 5th!
We are just about a week away from the 2024 Lincoln PTA Fun Run! If you volunteered to donate a raffle basket or gift card, please make sure it gets to Lincoln by Friday 9/27. If you feel like making a basket over the weekend email lakewood.lincolnpta@gmail.com and we can pick it up next week! By the looks of it, we could use some more fun kid centered baskets.
Students can continue to fundraise until October 4th! Another round of keychains will be distributed soon and students who raised $200 or more will get to pick their special Squishmallow or light up sports ball!
We still need some DAY of Volunteers for the Fun Run. Take a look and see how you can help!

We encourage ALL Lincoln students to participate, even if they did not fundraise! It is going to be a super fun day to spend time with our Lincoln Community!
Thank you to all of our volunteers and parents that are helping to make the day a huge success!

Elementary Community Conversations
The District's Elementary Planning Task Force will be holding Community Conversations at our seven elementary schools over the next few months to gather input on a potential redistricting and repurposing of our elementary boundaries and buildings. We hope you can attend one of the conversations. Learn more about the task force on the Elementary Planning Task Force page of the District website.
October's Social Emotional Learning Focus
In October and November, our area of focus for social emotional learning is self-management. This is a very important theme, and is consistently the weakest skill set based on our Social Skills Improvement System (SSIS) screener. Lesson topics - differentiated by grade level - may include self-control, stress management, focus, problem-solving, goal setting and resilience.
PTA Family Fun Events
Lincoln PTA is looking to organize 2-3 more whole family events this year in addition to Trunk or Treat on Oct.25. We'd love your input on what ideas and times work for your family! Please fill out the survey below by Friday Oct. 11.
