SEAS Faith Formation
March 1, 2024
A Note from Driskill's Desk
It is Lent. And as I said in Children’s Church, it is not the lint in your pocket. It is a special time to really focus on growing closer to God. With my own children we would focus on three words. Praying. Fasting. Sharing.
Praying. Just doing a little bit more during the lenten season. Maybe saying a rosary, singing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy are simply just saying a Hail Mary or an Our father to begin or end your day. But adding something to your regular prayer routine.
Fasting. Instead of fasting from junk food, maybe fast from hitting the snooze button or drive to school or work without music. Using that extra time to focus on God.
Share. Share your toys, clean out your closet, share with Saint Vincent de Paul, share food to a homeless person that you see on the street, or simply share your time and talent with an organization.
Whatever you have chosen to do, I pray you take this time to know God TRULY loves you!
Here are some Lenten activities you can do as a family-
Lenten Family Night
March 27th at 6pm we will gather together as a faith community to pray and journey together to create family memories this Lenten season.

Safety Procedures
The safety of our students, families, volunteers, and staff is a top priority for our Faith Formation Ministry. It is important to us that parents feel comfortable and confident while their children attend classes at SEAS. We take several steps to ensure we are providing a safe environment for all.
Each of our volunteers and all of the staff are required to take Safe Environment Trainings. Our Good Shepherd and Elementary students must be picked up from their classroom to guarantee that they leave with a trusted adult. You will also notice that we have a police officer on site during each class session.
To help with safety measures, we ask that parents read the below handbook provided by the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
