BPA Competes at State Competition in Grand Rapids
Seventeen WHS students earned 26 awards at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids March 12-16, 2025, with fifteen students qualifying to compete at the BPA National Leadership Conference, “Capture the Moment,” in Orlando, FL, from May 6 – May 12, 2025. This includes five State Champions! Westwood chapter members Gavin Comero, Kaylin Doney, Kaya Etelamaki, Makayla Fisher, Isabelle Grochowski, Gabe Grondz, Abigail Johnson, Ian Kauppila, Taylor Keranen, Clara Kruger, Hannah Niemi, Makenna Olson, Lucy Ostola, Matthew Ostola, Samantha Ruby, Morgan Schneider, and Michaela Watson earned the right to join over 5,000 other conference delegates from across the nation to participate in national-level business skill competitions, workshops, general sessions, and the national officer candidate campaigns and elections. Westwood Key Club Students Attend Annual Conference
Several representatives from the WHS Key Club attended their annual convention in Wisconsin last week. The students had an opportunity to learn new things about Key Club and the Kiwanis Family, met new people, and gained valuable leadership skills. Thank you Mrs. Moebius for chaperoning the event and leading the Key Club Chapter at WHS!
Early Release - Friday April 4th
Students are released at 11:55 am on Friday, April 4th.
Blood Drive - Friday April 4th
We will be having a blood drive on Friday, April 4th from 9 am until 11:30 in the media center. Detials will be provided when we get back from Spring Break.
Attention Juniors and Parents/Guardians
There will be a meeting on Thursday, April 3rd at 6:30pm at Negaunee High School for any Junior and their parent/guardian who are interested in learning more about post secondary options. If you have questions about the meeting please reach out to the counseling department at WHS.

All school districts in Michigan are required to share the Sexual Harassment and Information Guide with students in grades 6-12. I have attached the information guide as and some additional informaton including the districts Title IX coordinator information and specific school policies related to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
