“Where faith soars, minds excel, and futures ignite”
Back-to-School Edition
Greetings for the 2024-2025 School Year! To our returning families, welcome back, and to our new families, a warm welcome to the school community! We are gearing up for an incredible year ahead! Below are some important updates for everyone to take note of:
- The School Store is now up and running! We have partnered with a new apparel company, and the store will be accessible throughout the year with direct shipping to your home. If there are specific items you wish to see added, please do not hesitate to reach out. Remember, 20% of all sales will benefit the school!
- Dismissal procedures will remain mostly unchanged this year following collaboration with the Baltimore County Police, who recommended maintaining our current practices.
- Middle School students will be dismissed a few minutes earlier at 2:45 this year. This adjustment was made after addressing concerns from neighbors on Willow Street. With the new timing and improved organization, we experienced smoother dismissals without any issues.
- Middle School students in grades 7 and 8 will be receiving behavior contracts by the second week of September. It is important for parents to review and sign these contracts with their children before returning them to Mrs. Paula in the Main Office.
- A reminder that cell phones must be turned off and stored away during school hours. If a student is found using a phone, it will be confiscated and must be retrieved by a parent or guardian. A second offense will result in the student being prohibited from bringing the phone to school.
- DoorDash deliveries will not be accepted this school year due to security concerns. Students should either choose from the lunch menu or bring a packed lunch. In case a student decides not to eat cafeteria lunch, they must contact home for arrangements.
- The initial two weeks of school will focus on reviewing rules, expectations, and uniform policies, as well as building a sense of community and easing into the academic routine. Full instruction will commence on 9/9.
- Please note that full school days will be in effect at the beginning of the year, with the first early dismissal scheduled for 8/30/24. There will be no aftercare on this day.
- Join us on 9/5/2024 at 9:00 am for a live stream of the Blessing of the School Mass on Facebook.
- Stay updated by reading the Cheetah Chatter weekly for important announcements and information. Make sure to scroll through thoroughly to avoid missing any details.
- Our primary focus this year will be on Instruction and Rigor to ensure students are appropriately challenged and well-prepared for their academic journey ahead.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday for the start of a fantastic school year!
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp

Nurse Missy's Health Corner
If your child is returning to St. Michael- St. Clement this upcoming school year, 2024-2025, please have his/her health forms filled out by the start of school. This includes Emergency Medications for severe allergies and Asthma (ex. Epi Pens, inhalers,) AND their Action Plan/ orders signed by the doctor and parent. If the child received any new immunizations at his/ her last yearly physical or if there have been any big health changes this past year, please fill out a new health form and return to the Health Office.
INCOMING 6TH GRADE STUDENTS: Students need an updated Health Inventory/ Physical Assessment upon returning to school. If your child has had a yearly physical within 12 months of the start of school the healthcare provider is able to fill out the necessary forms. Part I of the Health Inventory is to be filled out by parents. Part II must be filled out by the healthcare provider.
INCOMING 7TH GRADE STUDENTS: Tdap and Meningococcal vaccine are required in addition to the standard immunizations for Pre-K thru 6th. Most new vaccines would have been given at your child’s last yearly physical exam. Please send in updated immunization records (forms available on the website but also any printed record from your child’s healthcare provider is acceptable).
Parents/ Caregivers must hand deliver in any medications/order forms to the nurse, signed by the parent AND THE DOCTOR the first week of school.
There is a NEW Over-the-counter Medication Administration form from the AoB to be filled out by you and the child’s doctor for medications such as Tylenol/Motrin/Cough drops/Tums etc. The nurse cannot give these medications to your child at school without this form being filled out and those medications brought to school for that child from home. Medications will be kept in the nurse’s office and can be distributed to your child if needed during the school year. If you wish not to have this option for your child, you do not need the doctor’s signature, but you should fill out the Over-the-Counter medications form, and check the box declining any medications.
All health forms can be found on the school website under “Health Resources” on the “Forms and Documents” page or at https://stmstc.org/resources/forms-documents/health-resources

"Pray, Hope, Don't Worry"- St. Padre Pio
Saint Michael the Archangel isn't a saint, but rather he is an angel, and the leader of all angels and of the army of God. This is what the title "Archangel" means, that he is above all the others in rank.
Redemptorist preacher and reformer. Clement preached, built orphanages and schools, and established a vast Redemptorist presence in the city.
