Spring Forward!
Greetings Webber Elementary Parents and Students,
Clocks spring forward this weekend. The disruption in our sleep routine can certainly be challenging, especially for adolescents. So, its worth considering how to help ease your children into the time change. The payoff is worthwhile - it'll be nice to have substantially more daylight after school π.
Parent Teacher Conferences are next week and we are looking forward to having productive conversations regarding the growth of our students. During your visit to Webber, we'll have our (growing) collection of lost-and-found items available to browse. Please take a look if things have come up missing over the winter.
Last night, we hosted our annual "Kindergarten Information Night" for incoming students. Those in attendance and those who have registered will be receiving additional correspondence regarding spring screening dates. It was great to see so many of you! Registration is now open - visit the LOCS webpage. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have an incoming kindergartner and need any clarification.
Just a reminder that next Friday, March 14, is a half day for students with dismissal at 12:05 p.m. We're also hosting our quarterly P2 assembly. Students are encouraged to wear Lake Orion, Webber, or green and white gear! Mark you calendars - The Discovery Fair (March 20) is coming up soon!
Have a wonderful weekend and GO DRAGONS!

Staff Recognition - Distinguished Dragon
Throughout the school year, if you would like to recognize a staff member from Webber, we encourage you to submit a Distinguished Dragon nomination. The intent of the Distinguished Dragon program is to ensure that staff members who go above and beyond their regular duties are appreciated. The additional effort or support can range from helping an individual to helping a group or any effort that seems worthy of praise.
The staff member can be nominated by a student, parent, community member or a colleague by completing the form at LakeOrionSchools.org/DistinguishedDragon. We ask for the submitter's name and contact information to follow up with specific questions if necessary. Please make sure to select the appropriate school/department form so the message is routed in the proper direction.
Please complete the form entirely so the individual can be appropriately honored for their contributions.
