Mrs. Iseler's K.E.S. Principal Post
March 2023
Message-
March is here, but as usual our Wisconsin spring remains shy. Apparently that groundhog Punxsutawney Phil's prediction of 6 more weeks of winter may have been accurate! We are hoping snow days are finished with the official start of spring coming on March 20th. The students have enjoyed the snow, but we all have a bit of spring fever. Spring break is around the corner. However we have many exciting events going on this month.
The ribbon cutting for the new public/school library is today 3-13-23 from 5-5:30 with the school board meeting to follow. A special shout out to the library staff, construction crew and custodial/technology crew for making sure everything is ready to go! It looks fabulous. Students get to go to the library today in this beautiful new space!
With the library being moved, work begins on the elementary STEAM lab (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math). Beginning in September of 2023, students and staff will use this space to engage in STEAM related lessons and curriculum with new materials and resources.
The construction staff, teachers and support staff have been instrumental in bringing the vision to reality within the library as well as study halls. The students have been patient with the noise and alternative pathways to get places. Our new spaces will permit us to see create new pathways in learning as well. As Dr. Seuss said...
“You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!”
― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go!
