Mother's Day Prayer
Dear Lord,
On this special day, we show our gratitude for all Mothers.
We thank them for their all-encompassing love, for their commitment, care and kindness.
We thank them for their wisdom, for helping us grow and flourish.
We thank them for their strength, for their sacrifices, and for being there in times of need.
And we thank them for their encouragement, for being our cheer leaders and celebrating our achievements.
Lord, help Mothers know how much they are loved and appreciated.
We ask that you bless all Mothers, including those who are no longer with us today.
Amen.

Mrs Anderson returns from her well deserved leave tomorrow. I would like to thank Mrs Salvia for taking on and doing a great job in the Acting Assistant Principal role during her absence.

Today was Mrs Liz Kingston's last day with us after 18 years of service to the school. I would like to thank Liz for the work she has has done with everyone here at Queen of Apostles during her time. Liz will be missed but I know she is also excited by the new challenge that awaits at Clontarf College. The process to replace Liz is currently taking place and we will inform the community once this appointment has been made.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Next week is ‘Wellness Week’ (Week 5 – Monday 13th Feb to Friday 17th May).
This is a week dedicated to promoting the physical, mental and social health of our students, teachers and community. There are some simple initiatives we are undertaking in and out of class to foster a happy and fun environment here at Queen of Apostles. Some of these include:
Sports uniform can be worn everyday of week 5
Extended recess Tuesday and Thursday
Extended Lunch Wednesday
Gummy Bears kindly provided by the P & F
No homework for week 5
No meetings for teachers in week 5
Fun activities with buddy classes
Feast Day Activities (Thursday)
We encourage families to support this initiative and discuss ways that you may be able to enjoy a calm and healthy week at home too. Are there practices that you can adopt that may continue beyond wellness week and become commonplace in your home?
