STARS FOOTBALL EXTRA POINTS
MARCH 3RD - 31ST
TRUE NORTH
Ten years ago, our 2013 class developed the True North mentality. Each point on the 5-pointed star is recognized to represent one belief that our program will be built on. Each point on the star is equal to the one before it. The values of Leadership, Investment, Selflessness, Accountability, and Preparation make up our North Star. In the center of the completed stars lies the T.E.A.M. For the past ten seasons and every moment in between, we have remained consistent in our steadfast belief in these five values. They are our "True North". These beliefs will be our compass in all we do as a program on and off the field. Much like the Northstar in maritime days, we will use our "True North" as the compass we will follow in the journey to the elite. I am proud of these words and what they mean. I have seen them transform lives, including my own. I hope you can share in our "True North" philosophy and discuss these values with your son or daughter as much as possible.

Message from Coach Pomazak
Stars Family -
I hope this message finds you well spring has sprung and I want to wish all of our student athletes the best of luck in their sport of choice. If they are entering their "off -season" then we are equally excited to get going on the spring training cycle. This newsletter will be one of two we will share in the month of March. I hope you take the time to read through it and stay conneted to our program.
As we embark on this coming season, it is important to understand that no two years are the same. Each year is unique in it's strengths, weaknesses and the challenges we might face. For 12 years the one consistent aspect of our program has been our value system. Our True North is the guiding force behind all that we do. It's importance cannot be understated and that is why I will be highlighting one value in each of our newsletters for the remainder of the school year.
ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Collective Responsibility: Our team is more than just a group of individual players; we are a family bound by a common goal. Each player’s actions impact the entire team. Whether it’s showing up to practice on time, giving their best effort, or supporting their teammates, accountability starts with each one of us.
2. Player-Centric Approach: Our primary focus is on the players. Their growth, both on and off the field, is our shared responsibility. As parents, your role is crucial. Encourage your child to take ownership of their commitment to the team. Remind them that their actions matter and contribute to our collective success.
3. Silent Support: During games and practices, I encourage you to be a silent source of encouragement. Let the players play without unnecessary pressure. They already feel the weight of expectations, and your quiet support will empower them.
4. Upholding Values: Our team values respect, sportsmanship, and integrity. I expect our players to treat opponents, coaches, officials, and each other with courtesy and kindness.
5. Open Communication: If any issues arise, whether related to behavior, performance, or team dynamics, please reach out to me. We can address them constructively and ensure that our team environment remains positive and supportive.
6. A Final Note: I am committed to leading with honesty and transparency. My coaching philosophy aligns with our team’s values, and I will always communicate openly. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to discuss them with me.
Let’s create an environment where our players thrive, learn, and enjoy the game. Together, we can build a team that embodies accountability, respect, and excellence.
Thank you for entrusting your child to our program. I look forward to a successful season ahead!
