We have 3 weeks left of the school year and Attendance Matters! Please be sure to continue to send your child to school every day and on time so they don't miss out on their learning. We have lots of engaging lessons and activities and we don't want your child to miss out. Kinder and 2nd grade students, we need you here everyday!

There are still many students who are not registered for the 2024 - 2025 School Year. It is important to register NOW to secure your child's spot. Teachers will be working on Class Rosters and assigning teachers for next year, so please register to ensure your child is on the class roster lists. Ms. Lorena Torres is available daily to assist with the process. Feel free to come by or call ahead for an appointment!

The week of May 13 students will be completing their End of the year MAP assessment. This data will help provide teachers with information to guide their instruction that is tailored to their students needs. As we prepare for a great testing week, ensure your child gets enough rest. It is essential that students come to school everyday promptly. We appreciate your partnership with Highland Hills in serving our students.

Please join Mrs. Cartwright for the last Principal's Coffee of the school year. We will be talking about how to keep our students engaged and learning during the summer and provide you resources. Light breakfast will be served. Hope to see you there!

Our HHE Eagles are looking forward to Field Day on May 17. This event is for students only. It’s not too late to make a donation!

• 4th & 5th Grade - Ice Pops

Students are asked to wear athletic shoes for safety purposes. Students are also encouraged to wear the following colors to match with their grade level:

• 5th - RED

• 4th - YELLOW

• 3rd - PURPLE

• 2nd - BLUE

• 1st - GREEN

• K - ORANGE

Thank you PTA for supporting our school, students, and teachers throughout the school year. We are so grateful for your dedication to the HHE Familia! On Tuesday, May 21st, PTA will host a Movie Day for our students during PE. Students will be able to enjoy popcorn and a juice. Parents, please be sure your child comes to school to enjoy the event. Thank you PTA!

End of year class parties will be held on Thursday, May 30th. Be on the look out for more information from your child's teacher! Please do not send cash donations or homemade food items. Thank you for your continued generosity!

We are excited to celebrate all that our students have accomplished this year at our End of Year awards. We are asking for your help in making our award ceremonies as timely as possible. If you register to attend the ceremony in advance, you will be able to enter the gate near the gym from the Rockglen parking. ID is REQUIRED for entry. If you are unable to register for the ceremony in advance, you will need to go to the Main Office to sign in. This may result in you missing or being late to your child's ceremony, so please be sure to register in advance! Please use the links below to register for the award ceremonies.

Students in grades Pk-4 will be seated on the floor of the gym during the award ceremonies. There will be limited seating for adults. The 5th grade award ceremonies will occur in the cafeteria. Students and adults at the 5th ceremony will have seats.

In observance of Memorial Day, there will be No School on Monday, May 27th. We look forward to seeing your child return on Tuesday, May 28th for the last week of school!

We are excited to welcome back former HHE Eagles on Monday, May 28th! Highlands High School Seniors (HHE Alumni) will come by our campus for a traditional "Elephant Walk". They will walk through their old hallways as our students cheer them on. Congratulations Highlands High School Class of 2024!

The HHE Campus Advisory Council will be meeting to conduct a Campus Needs Assessment in order to develop the 2024-2025 Campus Improvement Plan. These meetings are open to the public to view CAC discussions and recommendations.
