The Michigan state budget was recently passed to include increased funding for public schools to provide free meals to all students. All students enrolled in a public school for the 23-24 school year will be able to eat for free.

Education Benefit Forms are still critical to complete so the school district can receive the most funding! Complete the online application or paper application ASAP.

The Ottawa Area Center is excited to welcome students and families to our Open House, September 14, 2023 from 5-7pm. We will have classrooms open and teachers and classroom staff will be available in their classrooms. We will have over 15 agencies in the small gym with resources for families in our community.

Per the state, schools can resume testing students for Covid-19. We have a small supply of tests and the OAC nurses will contact parents if a student is symptomatic and request parental consent to test their student. Please review the current Covid-19 School policy in the Student Handbook.

This is your one stop location for parents/guardians to go for community supports and resources. Please check out this resource at Social Work/OCSN Resource Warehouse. Bookmark this resource on your computer and refer back often. It will be continually updated with fresh and new information.

September 27, 2023 from 12:30-3:30pm. CMH will have open office hours at OAC. This is an opportunity for parents to come in on an as needed basis to make connections and answer any questions you may have about the services they offer. Please email Brenda if you would like to schedule a specific time for your family to meet with the CMH staff on September 27, 2023. bseymour@oaisd.org
