The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

Here are a few ways to "Win the Day"

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!
• "Be Kind" - smile, say hello, look out for your fellow vikings! Remember - everyone is going through a battle we may not know.. Be Kind Always!

NEW Shade Structure is completed! The new shade structure is located just outside the cafeteria. Students are thrilled to have another shady place to enjoy nutrition and lunch.

Student & Community Services presented CV with the October Attendance Champions Award for highest attendance rate in October. CV has earned Back to Back Attendance Awards! Way to go Vikings!

Honor Society goes Bowling! 7th grade students will be eligible for Honor Society during 2nd trimester. Look out for information to come!

The state mandates vision and hearing screenings for students in 8th grade, all students new to our district, and students with suspected hearing or vision impairment.

On Monday, November 18th:

• 8th grade students will be screened through Physical Education class.
• All students who wear glasses, full-time or part-time, please bring your glasses with you to the screening

CVTV "Student Led Student Made" is in its 14th season under the leadership of Mr. Tayag! Students in CVTV; film, edit, and produce their own episodes! CVTV episodes provide a glimpse into the great activities happening at CV. Enjoy!

The end of Trimester 1 was on Friday, November 15th. Teachers are finishing up inputting final grades.

All athletes looking to try-out for after school sports need to turn in a Sports Waiver form to the coaches. Sports Waivers can be found here OR picked-up from their PE teachers.

The annual Middle School X-Country Race will be held on November 20th at Santiago Charter Middle School.

Girls race will begin at 3:00

Boys race will begin at 3:30

Students will travel by school bus, which will leave CV at 2:00. Please check in with your Physical Education Teacher for details! Let's Go CV!

The November PFSO meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 8:30am in the CV Library. Hope to see you there!
