Thank you to all of you that are serving as long - term subs as well as those of you that subbed in August. We are in the process of adding quite a few more subs, so we are excited to see all the great things our substitutes will do this year.

In this months SUBscriber we want to share with you the "thank you" gifts that we have planned for you this year. We also want to give you a few reminders from your substitute training.

Don't forget the following:

• You are an important part of the ROISD Family!!!!

• You make our schools run smoother when you are there.

• We are here to support you. If you have concerns or questions that the campus cannot answer, please reach out, so that we can address your concerns or answer your questions.

• We want to be 1% better everyday, if you have feedback, positive or negative that would make your job experience better, please let us know.

50% - 9 Days

75% - 13.5 Days

90% - 16 Days

Each month we will have campuses nominate outstanding subs for sub of the month.

If you substitute the following number of times this school year, you will receive the following appreciation gifts:

• 15 Days - We Believe District T - Shirt

• 30 Days - District Substitute Badge with your picture

• Gets you and a guest into all ROISD Activities

• Does not give you access to buildings, unless you are long term subbing.

• 45 Days - ROISD Lunch Box and a Coupon to have a meal with us in any ROISD Cafe. Does not include the Hawk Cafe at ROHS.

• 60 Days - ROISD Duffle Bag

• 75 Days -ROISD Blanket

• 90 Days - ROISD Maroon Sweatshirt

• 105 Days - ROISD Yard Chair

For those of you that are returning, below are a few reminders that you covered in your Substitute training. Nothing you need to sign and return, just information/reminders to keep you sharp.

Hello September - cooler weather, Friday night lights, and pumpkin-spice everything!

We are wrapping up the first 2 1/2 weeks of school - a time when we are now into routines, have completed schedule changes, and are halfway through the first grading period.

This year, WE BELIEVE is more than just a phrase - it is a mantra to embrace our co-workers' skills, students' abilities and districts' resources toward making your classroom or work environment the best it can be! Believing that collaboration makes us stronger gives you voice to share a suggestion for improvement and action toward giving a student the opportunities to grow and improve. We Believe Hawk Nation is the best because of you!
