BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING: July 16, 2024 (7PM)
The Livingston Board of Education will hold a public meeting tonight, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 (7PM) at the Central Office, 11 Foxcroft Drive. Tonight's agenda includes a presentation of NJGPA scores and personnel announcements.
Tonight's meeting will be held in a hybrid format during which participants will have the ability to ask questions and make comments either in person or via the webinar. PERSONNEL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Livingston Public Schools (LPS) has announced two personnel updates.
- Mr. Amro Mohammed has been recommended for appointment as Livingston High School's new Principal. READ MORE...
- Mr Charles Raphael has been recommended for appointment as the new Assistant Principal at Heritage Middle School. READ MORE...
The Board of Education is expected to approve these appointments during this evening’s public meeting, which will be held at the Central Office at 7 p.m.
CONSIDERING SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDACY?
DEADLINE IS 4PM ON JULY 29, 2024
Now is the time to consider school board candidacy for the Livingston Board of Education. In November, voters will elect two candidates to each serve for a three year term. A candidate must file a nominating petition with the county clerk for his or her name to appear on the ballot during the annual school election. The deadline to submit the petition is 4 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
GENESIS PORTAL SUMMER MODE
The Genesis Parent and Student Portal is now open in summer mode. Please read the following important information and dates from the LPS Technology Department:
CURRENT STUDENTS
- Parents currently have the ability to see school and grade level, contact information, report cards, assessments, forms, and documents.
- Parents in grades PK - 5 will be able to see your Child's Google login and password on the front summary screen.
- Parents in grades 6 - 12 will be able to see your child's' email address/Google login on the front summary screen.
- Students in grades 6 - 12 will be able to see your email address/Google login on the front summary screen.
NEW STUDENTS
- Parents of students who are new to the district (Grades 6 - 12) have been emailed information on how their child can access their email account and Genesis Student Portal.
WHEN WILL INFO FOR SEPTEMBER BE POSTED?
- Forms and Documents for the new year will open up July 25, 2024. The forms must be filled out in order to see teacher and schedule information in August.
- Teacher assignments, student schedules, and bus stop information will be posted August 23, 2024.
- Parents will receive an email when forms and schedules are posted.
- Please be sure you keep parent email addresses up to date in Genesis to receive district emails.

HMS FBLA ATTENDS NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Heritage Middle School is thrilled to announce and celebrate the outstanding achievements of its Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members at the National Leadership Conference held in Orlando, FL, on July 2, 2024. NIKHIL DAS EARNS TOP SPOTS IN MUSIC COMPETITIONS
Nikhil Das, who will be a fifth grader at MPE this September, recently earned the top spot in two music competitions!
Nikhil made his piano performance debut at Carnegie Hall while participating in the Little Mozart international music competition. The competition included approximately 50 performances. Nikhil earned first place honors for his piano rendition of Clementi Sonatina Op.36 No.4.
Nikhil was also recently awarded first place (with a cash prize) for his violin performance at the North East Music Teachers’ Association (NEMTA) competition in the Junior Virtuoso category for the second year in a row.
