WHS Student Spotlight
Bradley Luce, a Junior at Westwood High School, was recently selected for the United States Air Force’s “Aim High Flight Academy”. The flight school, which is hosted by the US Air Force’s Recruitment Detachment 1, is a full scholarship academy in which high school students from across the nation receive 15 hours of hands-on flight training. In addition, the students will receive information and education on what it takes to become an Air Force Officer and Pilot. At the end of the three-week academy, each student will get the opportunity to conduct a “Solo” flight if they are ready. Brad was one of about 150 high school students selected out of a pool of over 1600 applicants nationwide. Brad is working towards a US Air Force ROTC scholarship and hopes to attend Texas A&M University by joining their prestigious “Corp of Cadets” after graduation. His ultimate goal is to become a pilot in the US Air Force.
Congratulations Bradley!
