Our winter spirit week was a huge success before break. Staff and students had a great time showing off their holiday gear.

Upward Bound
Upward Bound is a federally funded program that we are fortunate to have here at WMHS. This program is designed to assist, encourage, and motivate students who have the potential and desire to continue their education beyond high school. Currently there are 69 students in the program.
Interact
Interact is a community service based club. Each week they meet to plan and implement various service projects while having fun, meeting new people, and eating snacks.

- The Career Tech Application is OPEN for the 25-26 school year!
- Career Tech Try Out Days are February 6 & 7. If you want to try out a class to see if it is for you, please sign up with your school counselor.

Welcome back everyone! We hope that everyone had a wonderful and restful holiday break!
Supplemental Documentation:
For anyone who had additional, non-academic requirements to their Semester 1 goals (i.e., community service, proof of scholarship applications, etc.), we ask you please submit all documentation no later than Wednesday, January 8th. If you anticipate an issue with fulfilling this requirement, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Mentor and Mentee of the Month Winners:
Champions wants to thank everyone who submitted nominations for this past month. We have a lot of mentors and mentees alike doing some wonderful things in the community. For December, we are honored to highlight Mr. McGovern and Melanie Gonalez - Our first ever mentor/mentee pair! Mr. McGovern has been a longtime supporter and mentor of the program. Melanie is an active participant in not only the Champions program, but also with LatinX and volunteering with Senate. You both are rockstars and are giving priceless contributions to our community. Please stop by our office anytime after Tuesday to claim your prize!
December Birthday Winner:
We hope everyone had a great birthday this past month. As promised, Champions is raffling off a gift card to one lucky winner. This month's winner is Karma Jackson! Please come and pick up your prize from the Champions office, room 110, anytime after Tuesday.
