Welcome to April, Spring is in full swing and Summer is around the corner!

Spring brings visible signs of growth all around us. In April we are in full testing season here at Collier. All grade levels are showing everything they have learned on many different tests that we use to show how much each student has grown this year. Students in grades 3rd - 5th will take the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA), and students in grades Kindergarten - 3rd grade will take the Dibels Reading Test. We know our students will do really well!

We are so thankful for all of you, our Collier Families! We appreciate each and every one of you and your choice to come to Collier!

Take the family to grab a sweet treat and please mention you are there for the Collier Fundraiser!

Friday, April 25th is Ready Tech Go / Family Game Night!

The Collier PTA will provide snacks and drinks, review a brief internet safety presentation and play some fun family games afterwards. Eligible families in attendance may qualify for a free laptop to take home with them. See flier for more details.

May 5th - 9th is Teacher Appreciation Week.

Be on the lookout for activities or volunteer opportunities if you are interested in participating!

Tuesday, May 6th is Skate Country Night.

This is one of our most popular events and we hope to see you there as we wrap up another excellent school year!

OMA class is a very busy place right now! We are working on our final presentations for the year, integrating science into music and movement, making informal presentations to our peers, and continuing to work on our quilt projects.

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra Wind Quintet came to perform for us, and we look forward to attending concerts with the full symphony orchestra soon. Preschool through 2nd grades will be going on a field trip the Tucson Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, April 22nd.
