A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
This is our last newsletter of November and as deer and gift hunting season begins, we want to wish all of our hunters in the community good luck and a safe, successful season. Whether you're enjoying the great outdoors or simply cherishing the time spent with family and friends, we hope this season brings memorable moments and plenty of stories to share. Please consider donating any intact deer hearts from your hunt to our Anatomy and Physiology class to learn from. Hearts should be intact (no wounds), placed in a ziplock bag, and frozen. Drop off hearts in the main office or students can take directly to Mrs. Whitney.
With Thanksgiving next week, it’s also a time to reflect on the many blessings in our lives. May your Thanksgiving be filled with love, laughter, and the joy of togetherness. Whether you're gathering with family, friends, or neighbors, we hope your holiday is a meaningful and relaxing one.
Thank you for being part of our incredible school community. Have a safe and successful hunting season as well as a wonderful Thanksgiving!

OHS students have been learning about bacteria in Biology class: the good, the bad, and the ugly. We learned that some (good) bacteria are beneficial to us and the environment. We also learned that some (bad) bacteria cause disease and can develop resistance to antibiotics. We cultured (ugly) bacteria in the lab and analyzed how it is affected by various cleaning agents.
Equestrian Team Places at State
The Omro Equestrian team placed 3rd in the state championships in their Division. Congratulations!
Bowling Team On A Roll
The boys and girls bowling team had another exciting match again on Tuesday when they faced Appleton North at Fox lanes.
Both teams were coming in at 1-0 on the season and facing a traditionally top team in the conference.
The girls started out falling behind 0-2 in their 9 game match but battled back to tie things at 4-4 heading into the final and deciding game where the girls came up just short 128-115. The loss drops them to 1-1 on the year but the team improved their average to a very nice 120 on the young season.
Our boys varsity was on a mission yesterday. After dropping the first game 203-214, roared through the next 5 games winning by an average of 32 pins per game and winning the match. The match ended 5-4 but was decided in game six. The boys averaged 185 on the night bringing their season average to 181.
Both the boys and girls will be back in action and back at home on Tuesday Dec 3 when they take on the 2-0 Winneconne wolves at Fox Lanes.

Dual Credit Courses Offered at Omro High School
Did you know that the School District of Omro offers a wide variety of classes that provide both High School and Postsecondary credit?
Omro students have the opportunity to enroll in dual-credit courses - CAPP, AP, and/or FVTC courses. These options give our Omro students a strong educational foundation as they prepare for 2-year or 4-year colleges.
By acquiring post-secondary credits while in High School, our students could also save time and money when they move on to college.
Are you interested in learning more about our CAPP, AP, and FVTC course offerings? Check out our Curriculum and Instruction website for more information (omro.k12.wi.us/page/curriculum-instruction).
