A message from Dr. Clark
A Message from Dr. Clark
Dear Holy Cross Community,
The new school year is just around the corner! Our students will soon return to the building and infuse the hallways, classrooms, and playgrounds with light and inspiration.
Today also marks the last day of our summer camp sessions. We hosted around 75 students every week and they had a truly spectacular time thanks to our amazing Summer Camp team. A big shoutout to Anne Anderson, Liz Gonzales, all camp teachers and staff, and our cafeteria team for their incredible hard work and for bringing the joy each and every day for our students.
I am thrilled to welcome our talented and devoted faculty and staff back next week. We will be spending our in-service days engaged in professional development, prayer, and fellowship in preparation for another great school year at Holy Cross.
As we look ahead, there will be multiple opportunities to come together as a community as we kick off the 2024-25 school year. These are the upcoming events for the week:
- Grounds Cleanup Day - Saturday, August 3 (7:30 - 2:00 pm)
- Sign Up Day - Wednesday, August 7 (9:00 - 12:30 pm and 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Gym)
- Preschool Parent Orientation -Friday, August 9 (8:15 - 9:00 am and 11:30 - 12:15 pm in the Conference Room)
A note that our office hours will be from 8:00 - 3:30 pm from August 5 through August 16. Please note that the school office will be closed on Friday, August 9 after 12:00 pm and all day on Monday, August 12 as our staff will be engaged in professional development sessions. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
I look forward to seeing you campus at one of our events this week.
Many blessings to you and yours,
Paola V. Clark, Ed.D.

A Message for Middle School Families - BYOD
Middle School Parents,
Holy Cross Catholic School middle school students are required to provide their own Chromebook device for use at school and at home for homework. This is part of their school supply list. It will be something they use multiple times a day, every day.
Below is a list of devices that would work for our system and what they will be doing in class. These are just a few options. You are welcome to choose whatever device you see fit for your child as long as it is a Chromebook. If you find another device and want to double check it will work please email me at lloeffert@holycrosscatholicschool.com.
Chromebook device options for Holy Cross Students:
Acer Chomebook Spin 513 Convertible Laptop
I would also recommend a carrying case for the chromebook. I have seen many chromebooks fall on the floor, get jostled around, and not cared for as well as we would hope. Having a case to place the Chromebook in while switching classes could increase the longevity of the device.
Students are required to have this device on the first day of school and it will be connected to the system for the duration of their time at Holy Cross.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
