Buffalo Express

This week in art was all about creativity using the Pop Art style! 6th grade learned about Warhol and also created a movement art piece using a picture of them! 5th grade started creating their own "pop " using an action word or their name! They started these and they look amazing so far! I love seeing how each kid is using their own artistic mind! 3rd and 4th grades are finishing up their cakes and they look delicious! 2nd grade wrapped up their stained-glass butterflies! They hung them in the lunchroom windows and they are breathtaking! 1st grade started their buffalo Pop Art! They were so excited to have a "big kid" project! Kindergarten finished up their Harold and the Purple crayon art and listened to the book "The Dot" and decorated their own dot!

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
