βοΈEarly Release Day Dec. 13. βοΈ
This is our second early release. Our day ends at 2:22pm
Hello Greenwood Families
Hungry Howie's Fundraiser
Last month we raised $293.48 with our Monthly Hungry Howie's fundraiser. The next will be December 20th, just in time to relieve the busy season.
βTis the Season for Healthy Eating!
December is a time of many celebrations! With a few easy changes, you can swap out the traditional party foods for healthier options that reinforce the healthy messages children are learning about nutrition in school.
The monthly BHC healthy eating lesson our students will be learning in December will be on βGrainsβ and βFood = Energyβ. To reiterate these lessons at home, encourage eating 100% whole grains and adding movement to your day! Have a holiday dance party! Check out BHCβs parent tip sheets featuring Moving More and Screen Time! Visit BHCβs Healthy@Home for more healthy tips!
Thank You Greenwood Methodist Church
Greenwood Methodist Church has partnered with us and has supplied a number of needed items (candy for Trunk or Treat, Extra Snacks, Clothing, School Supplies, Sanitation wipes, etc.), this makes learning so much easier. Community partnerships like these are valuable.
After talks with a member we found out that the church started in our gymnasium and that the church adopted the name after our school.
THANK YOU!
October Student Recognition
So many wonderful things are happening at Greenwood. We have the opportunity to recognize a portion of these wonderful things in our monthly recognitions. Each month we will recognize students who have shown Perfect Attendance, Positive Attitude, and Academic Achievement.

Marvelous Monday
Students and staff wore their comfy Pajamas and dropped everything and read.
Mrs. Cloetingh shared the classic βStone Soupβ and of course they ended the book by making stone soup and enjoying their first grade feast: cornbread with honey and pie.
