• K-5 Students: Morning arrival is from 6:50 AM to 7:30 AM.
• MYP Students: Arrival begins at 8:00 AM (please do not drop off earlier).

Elementary Character Counts Trait: Fairness

K-5 students that play by the rules set forth by their

home, school, community, and society are exhibiting

the Character Counts! trait of the month of fairness.

Those students take turns, share, are open-minded

and listen to others.They do not take

advantage of others and do not blame others.

Grades 6-8/MYP Y1-3 MYP IB Learner Profile: Open-minded

“Everyone I meet knows something new I can learn.”

MYP students that appreciate their own cultures and personal histories are being open-minded. They allow themselves to be open to the perspectives, values, traditions and identities of other individuals and communities. These students are accustomed to seeking and evaluating a range of points of view and are willing to grow from their experiences by being open-minded.

With cooler-than-normal temperatures expected next week due to a cold front, please ensure your children are dressed appropriately and in compliance with our dress code:

• Undershirts: Solid-colored long-sleeve undershirts in navy, black, gray, or white may be worn under uniform polos.
• Leggings: Girls may wear solid-colored leggings in navy, black, gray, or white under uniform bottoms for added warmth.
• Sweatpants: Permitted for PE classes only.
• Outerwear: Only Franklin Academy outerwear is allowed. Please label all outerwear with your child’s name.

• The last day of the 2nd academic quarter of the 24-25 school year is on Thursday January 9, 2025.

• There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday January 10, 2025.

• We will have limited office assistance, due to mandatory attendance of all staff for professional development and training.

• Classes resume for students on Monday January 13, 2025, which is the first day of the 3rd academin quarter in the 24-25 school year.

Our annual Field Day events are scheduled to begin on Tuesday January 21, 2025!

Quarter 3 Clubs will begin the week of January 27, 205, and will end the week of March 10, 2025.

• The Great Kindness Challenge Week is a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement.

• The week is devoted to raising awareness and performing as many acts of kindness as possible.

Tuesday January 28, 2025, is our 100th Day of School of the 24-25 academic year!

On Friday January 31, 2025, student report cards will be shared

with PPK8 parents/guardians via Bright Arrow messaging.

Students that pre-purchased our Papa John's fundraiser cards

will be receiving them during the week of January 13, 2025.
