TREASURE MAP

End of Third Quarter. This was a quick third quarter and here we are at the end! This Friday marks the end of the quarter and grades will be finalized when staff return for their work day on the 24th. Eligibility is not run the last week of the quarter so please be sure you are keeping up with assignments and paying attention to grades in Skyward. Teachers have likely established their final due dates for late work and other assignments this week and will have limited flexibility in order to finalize grades when they are needed. Communication will be key this week!

Get Involved. Even though we entering our last quarter there are still opportunities for students to get involved! We have track practice starting on Monday for 7th and 8th grade students who are interested. The play is holding auditions this Thursday and that is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. There will be additional opportunities for those that want to support the play in other ways later, too. Our vocal music concert is this Wednesday at 6pm and Site Council is Thursday at 6pm for any interested parents. We have plenty to look forward to in last quarter!

I took a break when I was losing focus. Students are encouraged to take mental breaks at their desk when they feel they are losing focus. The assessments required extended attention and sometimes that can be tough so it is okay to take a mental break from time to time to refocus. A good idea while math testing could be to stand up and go back to the resource table and see if there are any additional resources that might help.

Please mark your calendars with the following dates for the Spring KAP Assessments.

• KAP Science for 8th Grade: Wednesday, April 2nd and Thursday, April 3rd
  
• KAP ELA 6th-8th Grade: Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10th
• KAP Mathematics 6th-8th: Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17th
