Where: Russell Community Center Santa will arrive at 12:30 p.m. Santa departs at 2:00 p.m.
Juice and coffee will be available, along with cupcakes and cookies. There will be Santa games and coloring for the kids.
Sublime Solstice Project Kit
Get ready to light up the longest night of the year. Our Sublime Solstice Project Kit is packed with everything young explorers need to dive into the magic of the winter solstice. From creative crafts, to fun hands-on activities, this kit brings winter wonder, and solstice sparkle right to your door. Grab yours and let the seasonal adventures begin.
Audience: All ages are welcome to participate.
Deadline: The deadline to register for your project kit is December 10, 2024.
December Cloverbud Connections
Looking for a fun and educational activity for your little ones? Bring them to 4-H Cloverbud Connections on December 21, 2024 from 10:00-11:30 a.m.. This event is perfect for children Grades k-2 . We will be learning about the Winter Solstice. We will explore, learn, and make new friends through hands-on activities. Don’t miss out on this exciting morning of creativity and discovery.

Let’s Talk About Disability
How do we ensure we are developing and offering inclusive programs for all young people? Let’s Talk About Disability is a five-session series designed to provide a safe place for youth to have important conversations about disability. This series demonstrates to youth that they are valued and welcomed by 4-H and gives all youth the tools to be supportive and effective allies.
BLU (Building Leadership & Understanding)
Looking for a fun way to meet new people and learn leadership skills? Check out the Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU) leadership workshops hosted by the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors. BLU is for youth in grades 6 and up.

December Ambassador Meeting
This month we will meet Dec. 9, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.at the Lyon County Extension Office to paint office windows and decide on activities and projects to do in 2025.
Paint and snacks will be provided. Bring your winter creativity.
Office Holiday Hours
As a reminder the Extension office will be closed Dec 24-26, 2024 as well as Jan 1, 2025 in observation of the U of M holiday schedule.
