5460.03 - WISCONSIN VIRTUAL ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
It shall be the policy of the Four Lakes Board in conjunction with the McFarland School District Board of Education to acknowledge each student's successful completion of the instructional program appropriate to the achievement of school goals and objectives as well as personal proficiency by the awarding of a diploma at fitting graduation ceremonies.
The following outlines the minimum requirements for graduation:
A student must earn a minimum of twenty (20) credits, including the credit requirements set by State statute, to be eligible to receive a diploma, provided all other requirements as determined by the State and the Board are met. The Board requires the following credit requirements for a diploma (listed in the chart on top).
In order to earn a high school diploma, a student must successfully complete a civics assessment in accordance with State statute.
A student must also have participated in curriculum relating to financial literacy in order to earn a diploma, beginning with graduates in the class of 2028. To meet this requirement, a student may complete one of the following courses: Personal Finance, Economics, or Consumer Math 1 & 2.
Students will also complete a Personalized Learning Plan in accordance with the Statute 115.28(59) Academic and Career Planning. Required experiences and elements will be outlined and approved as part of each school’s proposed graduation requirements.
Four Lakes Education, Inc., the governing body for WVA’s charters, requires career readiness education. In order to graduate, students must also complete the following career readiness tutorials in Xello:
1. Matchmaker 2. Personality Styles 3. Mission Complete 4. Resume 5. Skills Lab 6. Selection of Three Potential Careers 7. Goals and Planning ****(This is the "Make a Future Plan")

Students who have taken the Civics Exam and Passed "P" will see this reflected on their high school transcript that they have access to in Infinite Campus.
For those students who have not already taken it or needs to retake it, they can do so following the link above. Students can take this exam as many times as needed. They need to get 65/100 questions correct (65%) to pass the exam.
