NMSHS PANTHER POST
AUGUST 23, 2024
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE - Mr. Goodrich
Nederland Middle-Senior HS Community,
We just finished our first full week of school and it all feels very positive. The teachers have commented that their students are getting back into the swing of things very easily. We started the week with our Back To School Night. Everyone was very happy with the turnout. As I mentioned at the middle and high school parent meetings we want to encourage more community involvement and participation this school year. As the semester rolls out we will be keeping you aware of the different ways you can help.
High School Lunch
This year we are allowing an open campus lunch for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. This is a similar practice at the other high schools in BVSD. Freshmen are required to stay on campus for lunch.
Have a great weekend!

Free & Reduced Price Program Applications
Although school meals are free, we strongly encourage eligible families to fill out the Free and Reduced Price School Meal application; doing so might qualify your family for reduced fees and impact funding for your school. If your family received an email with a F&R notification letter for the 2024-25 school year through DirectCert, you must fill out the sharing form linked within the letter to share your status with your school to receive benefits.
If you have not received a notification letter and your household income is within the guidelines to qualify (found on right side of FRL webpage), fill out the Free & Reduced Price School Meal application found in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal of Infinite Campus under More > Meal Benefits. More program info can be found on our site. If you have questions, please contact Lola Campos-Herzfeld at dolores.campos-herzf@bvsd.org.
