Action Required by Friday, November 22:
- In-Person Students: Please stop by Student Services to confirm the correct spelling of your name.

ARA Erg Sprint Team
CCSD is excited to again partner with Allatoona Rowing Association to offer a unique extension opportunity for students to compete in the Atlanta Erg Sprint at Georgia Tech on Saturday, February 1. An erg sprint is a short and speedy rowing competition with students near the same age. There are individual and team racing events. The Cherokee County Erg Sprint Team, open to all middle and high school students, allows students to apply and advance their rowing skills in a competitive race atmosphere while building connections with other athletes. This experience is designed to build on the foundational skills introduced in middle school PE classes through the Erg Ed program that began district-wide last year, thanks to a national Erg Ed grant. Please share this informational flyer with parents and students who may be interested in taking their skills to the next level. A virtual parent/student information meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 6:00 PM for anyone interested in learning more (RSVP link). For more information, please contact Dr. Erin Jacobs, Coordinator of Curriculum Support, Science/STEM/Health/PE, at erin.jacobs@cherokeek12.net.
