Amazing Start to our School Year
We've had an amazing first 2 week sof school! Thank you for entrusting us with your students and allowing us to be a part of their educational journey. We are excited to work with them and make this year a great one!"
Grade Level Talks
Last week, we held Grade Level Talks with all our students. These talks allowed us to revisit our campus vision and core values, and we shared important information about attendance and our Student Response Protocol. Please click the link below to access the presentation.
COBRA RALLY
We recently held our first-ever Cobra Rally! As I have shared, our theme this year is ALL IN. Our goal is to provide our students with the best opportunities, including having fun and building school spirit and pride.
Our Cobras heard an inspiring message from Board Member David Keith about grit and perseverance. They also participated in class games, and we wrapped up the event with the famous Class Yell. Our Juniors truly brought their best, being the loudest and showing the most school pride!
Thank you for entrusting us with your students and allowing us to provide these opportunities for them. We look forward to hosting more rallies as the year progresses.
Student ID's
Student ID's
To ensure campus safety, all high school students are required to wear their student IDs on lanyards around their necks while on campus. Students received their ID and lanyard during registration, but those who haven't can pick them up in the front office. We will also continue taking pictures before and after school in the front office. Thank you for your support!
Income Survey Form
Income Survey
Next week, we will be sending home an income survey with your student. We kindly ask that you complete this form and have your son or daughter return it by the end of the week.
Completing the income survey is crucial for several reasons:
Student Benefits: Students who qualify may receive discounted fees for college applications, SAT, ACT, and AP testing. This can significantly reduce the financial burden on families during the college admissions process.
Your participation in completing and returning the survey is greatly appreciated.

Monthly Counseling Sessions
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is a critical component of your child's education that focuses on developing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. By fostering these skills, SEL not only supports academic success but also enhances personal growth, resilience, and overall well-being. As we integrate SEL into our daily school days, we encourage you to reinforce these skills at home to help your child thrive both in and out of the classroom. Together, we can build a strong foundation for their future success.
TOPIC OF THE MONTH: Empathy
Empathy is a key part of Social Emotional Learning, helping students understand and share the feelings of others. By developing empathy, students learn to build stronger, more meaningful relationships and foster a positive, inclusive school environment. Encouraging empathy at home can help your child become more compassionate, supportive, and effective in resolving conflicts.
Message from the Counseling Office
SETTING UP FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Creating a conducive learning environment at home is essential for academic success. Ensure your child has a quiet, clutter-free space dedicated to studying, away from distractions. Establish a consistent study schedule that balances schoolwork with breaks to avoid burnout. Encourage effective study habits, such as using planners, setting specific goals, and breaking tasks into manageable parts. Promote active learning techniques, like summarizing information and teaching back concepts. Open communication about their progress and challenges can further enhance their learning experience. Supporting these habits at home helps prepare students for both high school and college-level work. Regularly check your student's progress on Skyward and stay informed to help support their academic journey.

Reminders
Cell Phone Policy
To maximize instructional time and minimize distractions, our teachers will continue to require students to turn in their cell phones at the beginning of class, placing them in the designated cell phone parking lot. Students often become distracted by incoming messages and notifications, which can interfere with their learning. Additionally, AirPods and headphones are not allowed during instructional time. Please review our cell phone and electronics policy to help ensure a successful and productive year for our students. Thank you for your support in this matter.
Dress Code Policy
Our dress code reflects our commitment to maintaining a respectful and focused learning environment. By adhering to the dress code, students contribute to a sense of unity and professionalism within the school. We thank you for your support and cooperation in this matter. Please review our Dress Code Policy.
