Stateside Scoop
Week of 5/28-5/31
End Of Grade Testing
End of Grade Testing begins this week!
Students in grades 3-5 will be involved in taking EOG's. Please make sure they arrive to campus on time, have a good breakfast and come with a "can do" attitude! Please note that students are not allowed to have electronic devices in the classroom during the test (cell phones, etc) and we would appreciate these items being left at home!
We are excited to see how much our students have learned this year & know they will rock the test.

6/4 - 4th and 5th ELA, 3rd RTA (select students)

Students will be selected based on academic information and state assessments. Phone calls will be made to families regarding this opportunity during the last days of school.
2024-2025 School Year
Enrollments for the 2024-2025 school year, including kindergarten, will open April 1, 2024. Instructions can be found using the following link: Parents & Students / New Student Enrollment (schoolwires.net)
School Dismissal Manager (SDM)
Stateside will continue utilizing an online dismissal management system -- School Dismissal Manager. It is dependable, easy to use, and can be updated by parents/guardians from your iphone, android or mobile web by phone! With this program you are able to:
-make dismissal changes as late as 1:30 in the day
-select a default method of transportation for how your child gets home and set exceptions if their default transportation ever has a change
- allow parents to quickly make a change in the event of a emergency or school closure/early release
This will stop the need to call the school or send in a note! We use this system to check transportation daily.
If you have questions or need assistance with SDM, please contact Mrs. Amy at the front desk!
Car Tags
**You will not have the same number as last year! Please throw away your old car tags!**
Car Line
-For safety and security for our campus, vehicles may not begin lining up for pick-up or drop-off more than 30 minutes ahead of time. Cars may not begin to line up in the car line BEFORE 7:40 a.m. for drop off or 2:45 p.m. for pick up.
School Fees
This school year your student will only be assessed the standard $25.00 technology fee. As in years past, this assessment will help assist the district with costs associated with supporting the devices, as well as any accidental damages. Hardship waivers will be available for families requiring assistance with this nominal change.
You are encouraged to pay fees and all classroom field trip expenses by our school online payment system: School Cash Online. To register, please go to the School Cash Online homepage:
https://onslow.schoolcashonline.com/
*if you are returning to Stateside your account is still active and a new one does not need to be created!
*if you are new to Stateside/OCS you cannot create an account until you have a student number. Student numbers will be available at open house and will not be given over the phone.
Bus Transportation
Please be sure to download the Edulog app so that you can get updates on bus changes/delays. This is the fastest and easiest way to get information! Attached is the document for your review! New routes/info. will be available soon.
You can also visit this site for more information:
Reminders
-Student Arrival: Students may be dropped off to school through the car line, by bus, or to morning care. Parents are not to walk students to class or walk up to the front of the school. This is for the safety of all students.
- School Dismissal Manager: Have you received the welcome e-mail from SDM and set a default dismissal for your student? This is how we keep track of how students get home and if changes are made. It is imperative that you get this account set up! **The Welcome E-mail will be sent soon! It has not been sent yet**
-Car Tags/Dismissal: You MUST have a tag to pick up students in the afternoon. If you don't have a car tag then you will be asked to come in to the office to have your ID checked. Please work with students on opening car doors and buckling themselves. It is also very important that parents stay in the car when picking up students - please do not exit your vehicles. Placing car seats on passenger side is also very helpful.
-Breakfast/Lunch: Students can eat breakfast and lunch on campus each day for a fee. Normal prices are $1.25 for breakfast and $2.50 for lunch. Please take a few minutes to load money to student accounts!
