Exciting Events Coming Up!
Dear Grizzly Families,
We have some fantastic activities coming up that you won’t want to miss!
This Friday is our annual Trick or Trunk Event, and it’s the best in Thornton! Join us for a night of fun, friends, and plenty of treats. Students are encouraged to wear their costumes, and we strongly encourage parents to join in and wear theirs too! Please remember, all costumes are just for the evening event, must follow Adams 12 guidelines (see below), and children must attend with a parent or guardian.
Next week is Spirit Week, a great chance for our students to show off their Glacier Peak pride! We encourage everyone to participate and have fun.
On October 31st, we’ll be celebrating our fundraising efforts with the Glacier Peak Sneak! All students will be running, so no costumes on Halloween. Instead, have your child wear their grade-level color or their Peak Sneak T-shirt. Let’s make it a day of spirit and celebration!
✨ A Little Plug ✨
We’re still fundraising to support our students and school, so every dollar helps! The money raised will go toward providing free field trips, a shade structure for the playground, water bottle fill stations, and more. Thank you for helping us make Glacier Peak even better!
Thanks for your ongoing support, and we can’t wait to see you all there!
🧡🐻🎃
Warm regards,
Jeanna Costa

Halloween Guidelines
1. Costumes that would otherwise violate the Student Dress Codes Policy (Superintendent Policy
Code: 5060) will only be allowed if approved by an administrator prior to wearing to school. For
safety reasons, masks or makeup should not cover the student’s face in a manner that makes
the student unrecognizable. Masks or makeup that conceal student’s identity may be worn only
during designated times such as during a costume contest.
2. Toy or facsimile guns are not allowed.
3. Other toy weapons (knives, swords, bats) should be pre-approved by administrators and are
only allowable if the item is clearly a toy.
4. Costumes that are overly graphic, promote violence or otherwise might logically be assumed to
be offensive to others are not acceptable.
5. Costumes that are sexually suggestive and would otherwise violate the school’s dress code are
not appropriate.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have a No Cell Phone Policy here at Glacier Peak
Cell Phones need to be powered off and kept in backpacks.
5.0 A building administrator may, at his or her discretion, impose further restrictions upon student use of personal electronic devices, including but not limited to rules prohibiting the possession of personal electronic devices in classrooms, hallways, and other locations on school property. A teacher may, upon mutual agreement with the Principal, impose further restrictions upon classroom use of personal electronic devices than have been imposed by the building administrator.
We have scheduled the first meeting on Monday, Oct. 28th from 2:30-3:30! Please join us!
What is the Program?
All Pro Dad Chapters provide an opportunity for dads to spend quality time with their children before school to strengthen their relationship. One day a month, other dads and their kids meet together and walk through different topics that invoke meaningful conversations.
