ART
Most of Ms. Montgomery's Team Renaissance class session involved orienting students to the art classroom space and the supplies available in it. After introductions, she gave students a variety of small projects to work on. Link to 7 Pictures.
MOVEMENT BREAK
Travelers 1st grade teacher, Mr. Lewis, took a few minutes of classroom time for a brain and movement break. It was enthusiastically enjoyed by the students.
BLUE BLOCKS P.E.
Ms. Bolton's kindergarten group was one of many that cycled through Ms. Andrews P.E. classroom in the little gym where they got to build with the school's extensive blue block collection. These many-shaped blocks are made out of firm and grippy foam. When provided with the opportunity to create with the blocks, the students naturally gravitate towards building and playing with them in a physically active way.
TWINS
Every year we celebrate connections between people at school. One way of doing this is to notice commonalities in dress. Here are the first twin pictures of the 2023/2024 school year.

BIRTHDAYS
SEPTEMBER

ALL FAMILIES ARE ASKED TO FILL IN MEALS FORM
Under Vermont’s universal school meals law, all public school students can eat breakfast and lunch for free at school. Families are no longer required to complete any paperwork for their students to receive free meals at school. But we still need your help: please Fill the Form to help our schools continue providing these free meals.
Even if you didn’t fill out forms for free meals in the past, doing so now will help us continue the Universal Meals program. By filling out the form you:
Support your school to access its fair share of millions in federal dollars for educational programs
Provide students in our district and across Vermont with healthy, nutritious food.
Reduce the cost of universal school meals for Vermont taxpayers.
Filling the form also helps your community and our state.
The information helps the State access federal money for universal meals, so taxpayer contributions from Vermonters are lower.
The State receives more federal dollars for education and has the information necessary to divide the money equitably among Vermont schools.
Filling the form only takes a few minutes and it’s the right thing to do.
Thank you for helping the students of Vermont and your community.
