What's Happening at Trollwood?

Unfortunately, we're not getting as many performances of The Addams Family as we had hoped for, due to some severe winds today and yesterday, but we are really looking forward to one final performance on Saturday! The show has been an absolutely spectacular smash! If you haven't seen it, don't miss your chance to see these incredible student performers! Or if you have seen it and thought it was great, come see it again! The reserved section is sold out, but we still have capacity in the general admission seating.

The Totally Trollwood Musical Roald Dahl's Matilda Jr. is getting ready to open next week! The cast is wrapping up its final full week of rehearsals before the show hits the stage next Tuesday and Wednesday, July 30 and 31 at Fargo North High School.

The cast of The Trollwood Players is hard at work in rehearsal for Fix it in Post!, which has performances August 7 and 8 at Fargo South High School.

Trollwood Children's Theatre is in a world of pure imagination as they get ready for their performances of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Kids on August 6 at Discovery Middle School.

ArtSpark wraps up for the summer this week with the final session performing on the stage here inside Marcil Commons at Trollwood. Thank you to everybody who has helped give our Grades K-4 students a week to remember in each of our ArtSpark sessions!

Roald Dahl's Matilda Jr.

The cast of Roald Dahl's Matilda Jr. is in its final full week of rehearsals before the show opens next Tuesday! Matilda Jr. has performances July 30 and 31 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are available online on the Trollwood Box Office website. Check out photos from rehearsal below!

The Addams Family

The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

The 2024 Mainstage Musical production The Addams Family has one performance remaining, this Saturday! Tickets can be purchased online by clicking the button below or in person at the Trollwood Box Office. Reserved seats for Saturday are sold out, but general admission tickets for Saturday are still available.

While we do not currently plan to add any performances of The Addams Family, should the Saturday performance be canceled for any reason, we will add a performance on Sunday.

LinkFM Shuttle Service

Thanks to a partnership with MATBUS, we are offering a free shuttle service to Bluestem for performances of The Addams Family! Attendees can park in the southwest corner of the Azool Hornbacher's parking lot, where buses will line up for pickup. Enjoy a hassle-free journey to the show and after the performance, the shuttle will ensure a safe return to your car. View instructions here.

Strike Schedule

Following Mainstage Musical performances, strike week will be held from Sunday, July 28 to Thursday, August 1. The production party is at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 1.

If we have to add a show on Sunday, strike will begin at noon on Monday and conclude at 9 p.m. The schedule will then return to the normal schedule on Tuesday.

SNAPSHOTS TAKE 2

ArtSpark - Rats!

Last Friday, the Grades 3-4 ArtSpark students performed "Rats! The Story of the Pied Piper." They tackled a longer-than normal show with some fast costume changes and some complicated acting and did an incredible job! The show was directed by Mariah Schafer and Madi Goerig. Fix it in Post!

Fix it in Post! takes a behind the scenes look at the making of a movie through a series of comedic sketches written by director Scott McClure. It's a play about a movie, with videos, but on stage! Check out out the video below and listen to the director ... no the other director! and see Fix it in Post! at 7 p.m. August 7 and 8 at Fargo South High School.

ArtSpark - Swamped

Last Friday, Grades 1-3 ArtSpark students wowed their audience with a performance of "Swamped!" They hopped and flew and did the swamp stomp in the performance directed by Kyle Berkley and Kate Folkestad with assistant Kasen Sanders. Check out photos below!
