Major's Minute
As I was going through my photos looking for any pictures I may have captured this week, I ended up finding this photo. It is one of my favorites of our six and a half month old puppy Honey-Pi (named due to Pi Day). Just seeing this picture, reminds me of how comforting it is to hug her - dare I say just hugging her makes me feel like "home".
As I think back about the last couple of weeks since resuming programs, it's been such a joy being with everyone again. Young adult volleyball nights, Family dinners and study, brass practice, nursery, junior church have all been great giving that feeling of "home" again.
We always pray that you will have a warm feeling of connection to this church as well. We also pray that you grow in your commitment to God and this family - using your gifts to bring God the glory.
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13

**Note - We are updating our volunteer files. We'll be asking current and new volunteers to complete the volunteer packet. We will also be giving you instructions on how to get additional fingerprinting (now required by law) for those who work with youth. You will not need to pay for anything. We will guide you on how to get this done.**

Celebrating a great night at First Fridays teen night. The devotional of the night centered around Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Thankful for the home cooked dinner, volunteers to engage in meaningful fellowship and discussion, and delicious Italian sodas. We also had fun times with our nighttime scavenger hunt and free time volleyball and dodge ball. Congratulations to team Janae, Kadyn, and Ella for winning the scavenger hunt and Starbucks gift cards. See you next month on October 11 with our special guests - a Cadet Brigade from the College For Officer Training. Do your best to bring a new friend next time.

Rally Sunday and Potluck
This is our time to celebrate being back from summer traveling and getting back to the rhythm of meeting together at church. It's also a great time to invite friends and family to your church and be a part of the worshipping body. Plan to bring a side dish to share. But remember, the most important thing to bring is YOU!

Trick or Treating at CANDY CORN WAY
We're inviting the community (including yourself) to come to our First Annual Trick or Treating at CANDY CORN WAY - Getting the community onto our property to know that we are here and bless them. For our first event we are asking for hosts to decorate, purchase candy for, and/or pass out candy at the doors of our property from 5 - 7 PM. We'll have a handful of lawn activities and music - nothing too overwhelming our first year. We pray to meet families and grow this event each year to come.
