What Do Test Questions Look Like?
TELPAS is an assessment program for students in Texas public schools who are identified as emergent bilingual and participating in the ESL or Emergent Bilingual Program. The letters in TELPAS stand for the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System. The Texas Education Agency developed TELPAS to meet state and federal requirements. Texas annually assesses the English language proficiency of K–12 students who have been identified as English learners (ELs) in four language domains— listening, speaking, reading, and writing. TELPAS evaluates the progress that each EL makes in becoming proficient in the use of academic English.
You are able to see released TELPAS tests from previous years and practice for TELPAS through this website:

Spotlight on A. Phillip Randolph
In 1925, A. Philip Randolph established The Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters (BSCP), the first nationally recognized Black labor union in the United States.
Under Randolph's leadership, the BSCP expanded its mission to advocate for broader social and economic justice, paving the way for the modern Civil Rights Movement. Randolph went on to organize the famous March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963.
