Principal's Message
Good evening Mira Loma Families,
Our fifth full week of school was highlighted by a second round of our IB Economics students participating in a Microeconomics and Entrepreneurship assignment that involved selling food and competing for customers on Thursday after school in the Quad. The event was a great success and it was wonderful to see a large number of students visiting the booths after school. Great job to our IB Economics students and thank you Mr. Posner for organizing a second round of this class activity!
On Wednesday evening, we held our second Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting of the 2024-25 school year. I am thankful for our parent community and your involvement and dedication in ensuring that students have the best educational experience possible. Thank you to our parents and teachers currently serving on the PTO!
On Thursday of this week, I had the opportunity to join our first Students for Change meeting. The meeting was filled with great collaboration, and I was amazed by our students and their passion for Mira Loma High School. I look forward to their partnership throughout the 2024-25 school year. Thank you to our Students For Change group for sharing your voices!
On Friday of this week, our Lunchtime Intramurals officially began with a Foursquare competition at lunchtime. If students are interested in participating in Lunchtime Intramurals, please have them see Mr. Ashwell or Mr. Posner for more information about upcoming lunchtime activities.
Athletics are in full swing this week, with Cross Country, Girls Tennis, Girls Flag Football, Girls Volleyball, Football, Boys and Girls Water Polo, and Girls Golf all competing. Thank you to our student-athletes, coaches, and parents for your continued dedication and positive representation of Mira Loma High school.
As our Fall Sports Season continues, our Winter Sports season is quickly approaching. Please be sure to begin scheduling your sports physicals now to ensure that athletes are cleared in time for participation. On Wednesday, 9/25, there will be a Winter Sports Informational Table at lunchtime in the Quad.
Thank you for your partnership and dedication to Mira Loma High School and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Kaden Bahner
Principal
