As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the partnership and support of our Mary Carroll High School community. Your dedication to your child's learning journey plays a vital role in their success, both inside and outside of the classroom. Whether it's through communication, encouragement, and/or collaboration, your involvement makes a difference in creating a positive and thriving environment for all our students. Points of Emphasis and Reminders

📅 The Importance of Attendance for High School Success 📅

Attendance is crucial for academic success, especially in high school. Students with over 9 absences in semester courses or 18 in year-long courses will be denied credit, even if they pass. Excessive absences will require makeup hours to meet graduation requirements.

Parents can monitor attendance via the Home Access Center click here (HAC). For help, contact Mrs. Ortiz, our parent liaison. Let’s work together to keep students on track for graduation!

📅 Night Quest Continues on Monday and Wednesday This Week 📅

Night Quest sessions for invited students begin this week to support their success in course recovery, STAAR EOC Retesting support, and help with TSI/SAT/ACT/PSAT preparation. These are excellent opportunities to stay on track and achieve your academic goals!

📚 Encouraging Productive Habits Over the Break

While we hope all our students enjoy a well-deserved rest during Thanksgiving break, it’s also a great time to encourage productive habits. Consider setting aside time for your student to review notes, complete assignments, or prep for upcoming tests like EOCs. A little focus now can make a big difference later!
