Northview Familia,
Attendance Matters!
Northview’s average daily attendance for the week of 5/5/25 to 5/9/25 was 90.6%. Let’s keep striving for even better attendance!
Student Recognition
Congratulations to our Samantha Rivera for her recognition as a top student-athlete in our area by the Foothill-Citrus Athletic Directors Association. Samantha was honored at the annual Scholarship Awards Banquet on Monday, May 5 at Mountain Meadows Golf Course. This honor is a reflection of her discipline, integrity, and the quiet strength she brings to everything she does—on the mat and in the classroom. Congratulations, Samantha! See picture below.
On Friday, May 9, we had 116 Northview students complete the Bite of Reality financial investment workshop hosted by the Credit Union of Southern California. By completing the workshop and two in-class modules, our students are eligible to receive a $100 savings account. Congratulations, Vikings!
We honored our senior scholars at our May 8 board meeting last week. Hope Peoples, Francesco Gualcherani, and Zoe Schultz were recognized for their academic achievements, contributions to campus life, and their extracurricular activities. Additionally, we honored our Spring Athletes for their athletic achievements this season. Congratulations to Justin Garcia, Jared Cruz, Jade Perez Castellanos, Zoe Schultz, Sebastian Ramirez, Eric Duran, Isabella Ochoa, Clementina Duran, Michael Soto, Michael Alonso, Genesis Sanchez, Djamila Franklin, Gary Strobehn, Joseph Lopez, Jaylene Campos, Gianna Dorsett. Go Vikings!
New Boys Basketball Coach
I am excited to announce that Quenton Harvey has officially accepted the position of Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Northview High School.
Coach Harvey, affectionately known as “Coach Q,” joined the Northview family in 2023 and immediately made an impact, playing a pivotal role in our CIF finals appearance. His leadership, dedication, and ability to inspire our student-athletes were instrumental to the team's success.
Coach Harvey brings with him over 20 years of coaching experience at various levels, coupled with firsthand experience as a Division I athlete. He played collegiate basketball at Utah State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. His deep knowledge of the game, combined with his passion for mentorship, make him a tremendous asset to our program and school community.
We are confident that under Coach Harvey’s leadership, our basketball program will continue to grow in excellence on the court, in the classroom, and as leaders in the community.
Please join me in welcoming Coach Q to his new role and in supporting him and our student-athletes as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Wellness Center
Greetings from the Wellness Center,
Next week marks the beginning of National Mental Health Awareness Week. Every day, millions of people silently struggle with mental health challenges, often feeling overwhelmed by the stigma that keeps them from seeking the help they need. Next week and this month provides us with a powerful opportunity to change that. By shining a light on mental health during this important month, we can break down the barriers of stigma, encourage open conversations, and remind everyone that reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Join us in raising awareness by participating in next week's spirit week and stopping by the Wellness Center during lunchtime on Wednesday for an activity.
