Veterans Visit 4th Grade!
In honor of Veterans, students in 4th grade invited local veterans to visit their class. Students spent time in groups circling around listening to each Veterans stories and looking at a variety of artifacts (photos, clothing, medal/badges, plaques, etc). They engaged by asking questions to further their learning in the significance and importance of Veterans day and those who served our country. We would like to give a huge shark shoutout to:
- Mike Mulrooney, USMC
- Larry Morris, USMC
- Ryan Carragher, USA
- Paul Shapin, USA
- Sean Barret, USA
Thank you for your service and for spending time with our students in 4th grade!
Giving Tuesday!
The Friends of Perry Annual Giving Tuesday campaign is underway! Every gift made to the school between now and December 20th will be matched, doubling the impact of your generosity. Your support directly funds essential programs like music education, social-emotional wellness, and schoolyard improvements—initiatives not covered by the Boston Public Schools budget and made possible only through community contributions. This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 by December 20th. If we hit this target, Mr. Rollins (and others!) will take the plunge into the ice-cold bay during the Perry Polar Plunge on December 20th at 3 PM. You can donate, learn more, and track our progress here:givebutter.com/perrygivingtuesday
