Important PACE Updates
Unsure of what a Makerspace is? See the video below...
There are many ways to approach a Makerspace, but our will house some basic technology such as Makey Makeys, basic, low-tech building materials, desktop computers, their own Lenovo laptops and more. The idea is to have teachers and students use this space to spark innovative learning, problem solving and creation. The Makerspace at Kiser will be housed in A002 (the old Read 180 classroom). We will slowly transform the space to accommodate classes and small groups.
This space will be designed for ALL content areas. Stay tuned for some great ideas using the materials and technology that will be a part of the space. We hope to launch the area towards the end of this school year in preparation for next school year.
***As a heads up, if you have any old electronic devices, board games, legos...anything you are planning of getting rid of, please check with Ms. Grundman as we may be able to use it for the Makerspace!
