We’re thrilled to announce that North Dover Elementary School has been recognized with a Promising Practice Award from Character.org for our PBIS initiative, “Keys to Success: ROAR With Pride and Consistently Demonstrate the Tiger Core Values!”

This week has been full of exciting and enriching experiences: our 3rd graders explored fossils during a special in-house field trip, 5th graders enjoyed a scenic hike at Hopatcong State Park, and our 6th graders celebrated Field Day at Dover Middle School under beautiful skies.

We’re also proud to recognize Mrs. Jeany Fackina as our Teacher of the Month for May! We are so happy she was nominated and honored—but also sad to share that she will be retiring at the end of this school year. Congratulations, Mrs. Fackina, and thank you for your creativity, dedication, and many years of service to the North Dover community!

Please take note of the following important dates and reminders:

• Device collection is scheduled for June 13th. Parents, please ensure iPads, charger blocks, and cables are returned.

• Grades 4–6 will attend a Financial Literacy presentation on June 10th.

• 3rd grade will present “From Jungle to Ocean: A Wildlife Showcase” on June 11th.

• Friday, June 13th is Red, White & Blue Day—students are encouraged to wear patriotic colors!

• The last dy for Project Safe will be June 13th. Please plan accordingly.

• Kindergarten Celebration on June 16th at 9:00 AM

• End of Year Awards:

Early Pick-Up Parent Request:

Parents/Guardians should Make every attempt to schedule dentist, doctor, and other appointments after school hours. However, if a student needs to leave school early, the child must be signed out in the Main Office before 2:15 PM by an adult over 18 years old. The individual MUST be listed on the Genesis Student Management System unless the teacher has been notified in writing by the parent. Parents/Guardians may not pick up students directly from the classroom but must go to the Main Office where a staff member will call the classroom. Students will not be able to wait for early pick-up in the Main Office unless they have been sent there by the school nurse. Students will stay in their classroom until the parent arrives.

Please remember that during pick-up and drop-off, you should remain in your vehicle unless you are in a designated parking spot. This ensures the safety and smooth flow of traffic. Thank you for your cooperation.

Los padres/tutores deben hacer todo lo posible para programar citas con el dentista, el médico y otras personas después del horario escolar. Sin embargo, si un estudiante necesita salir temprano de la escuela, debe ser registrado en la Oficina Principal antes de las 2:15 p.m. por un adulto mayor de 18 años. La persona DEBE estar registrada en el portal de Genesis a menos que el maestro haya sido notificado por escrito por el padre. You may report an illness-related absence to the nurse’s office at 973-989-2020 x2512 by email: aerler@dover-nj.org or by filling out the form "Absence Reporting From (English)" below .

You can download the app on the Apple iTunes Store, Android Store, Windows or Google Play. Use the STOPit code: NDETIGERS to be able to send direct reports to North Dover's administration and Anti-Bullying Specialists.

Please make sure that you complete the 2024-2025 Free and Reduced Lunch Application as soon as possible to determine if your student(s) qualify for free meals. Completion of this application also affects the funding the District receives from the State and Federal Governments. If you completed an application in the 2024-2025 school year and received a determination that your student(s) qualified for free meals, you have a 30-day grace period prior to that determination expiring.

Parents/guardians are able to complete this application online and receive an instant determination. This is the recommended method for the completion of this application as it returns the fastest results. However, paper applications will also be accepted.

After clicking this link, please utilize your PaySchools account to log in, or if you do not have an account please create one. After successful login, you will be asked for your student's ID. However, you should utilize your student's lunch pin for this request in order to successfully continue the Free and Reduced Lunch Application process. If you require assistance locating your student's lunch pin, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Administrative office of your student's school or to the Belmont Administrative Building.

If your child will be buying lunch in school, please add money to his/her account on www.payschoolscentral.com. You can select your preferred language in the top right corner of the web page.

In the event that someone other than a parent or guardian will be picking up your child from school, you must notify the teacher & main office staff in writing or you can fill out the form below.

If you know that you will be moving from your current address, please stop by the main office to complete the necessary paperwork. We require two forms of evidence for your new address in order to make these changes.

Remember that even if you move to a new address in Dover, the district still requires two forms of proof for your new address. Any communication by mail will be sent to the address that is on file in Genesis and we can not update your address without proof.
