As we finish up the month of November and begin December, we have so much to be thankful for. We are honored to be able to educate your child(ren) and are thankful that you have entrusted in us their education as well as helping to mold their futures.

• Choice enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is now open! If you know anyone who is interested in attending Mountain Vista next school year, this is the time to submit a choice enrollment application. We have a waiting list of students each year, so the sooner the applications can be submitted the better! If your child already attends Mountain Vista, they do not need to complete another choice enrollment form. • Do you have used uniform pieces that you’re not sure what to do with? We would love to take them off of your hands! Please drop off at the front office.

• As a reminder, winter break begins on 12/23. We will see students back on January 7, 2025!

District Corner – December 2024

We strive to keep you adequately informed in D2. Please take advantage of being in the know! Here are some of the ways you can be informed:

1. Winter weather is upon us. Ensure your email and phone numbers are listed in Infinite Campus by checking with your school registrar. This allows you to get important notices from your child’s campus or the District.
2. Help us spread the word about our D2 mobile app! Our FREE app is available in the App Store or Google Play. You can receive push notifications for emergency messages and updates on weather-related closures and delays.

How to Download the Harrison School District Two App

• Go to the App Store or Google Play

• Search Harrison School District Two

• Select and install

• After it has been installed select “Open”

• You have now downloaded the app

How to Customize Your News and Calendar Feeds

• Allow Notifications (you can get alerts for delays, closures and more)

• Select Your School or Schools that you wish to follow

• Select Done

• Use the settings button (swipe left) and update any settings you prefer (see social media, receive inbox messages for weather closures and delays or emergency messages, or select all to stay in the loop)

• 3. Choice Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school is now open. Choice is for out-of-district students and in-district students who wish to attend a school other than their home school. This is the time to request to enroll your 2025-2026 kindergarten student if you would like them to attend a different school other than their neighborhood school. Students currently attending out-of-district schools or charter schools must provide the most recent attendance record, discipline record, and grades/transcript from their current school as supporting documents. Watch our website for information after Thanksgiving Break.

Cómo configurar las noticias y el calendario

• Permita los avisos, Notifications (recibirá alertas de cierres, retrasos y más)

• Seleccione su escuela u otras escuelas que desea seguir

• Seleccione Done (terminar)

• Use el botón de Settings (configuración) en la segunda página, deslizando a la izquierda, y actualice sus preferencias: medios sociales, avisos de emergencia, clima, cierres o retrasos; o seleccione All (todos) para mantenerse bien informado.

• 3. Las inscripciones Choice para el año escolar 2025-2026 empiezan después del descanso de Thanksgiving. Choice es para aquellos estudiantes de adentro y afuera del distrito que desean asistir otra escuela diferente a la que corresponde a su domicilio. Los estudiantes de adentro y de afuera del distrito o de las escuelas charter, deben traer los reportes de asistencia, calificaciones y comportamiento más recientes de su última escuela junto a la solicitud. Los estudiantes de kínder para el año escolar 2025-2026 solo necesitan llenar la solicitud y no necesitan estos documentos. Consulte nuestra página de internet después del descanso de Thanksgiving para más información.

We have partnered with a local family owned business to bring MV apparel to our students, staff and families. Click the title above to shop and place your orders now.

Food Panty will be opened on Thursdays this year from 2:35-3:45. Parents may come in and shop or their students may shop. Resources provided through the pantry are free. If this day/times does not work, families may contact the school to set up an appointment to come in and shop.
